Senior Strategist – media

You are a media strategist who understands that strategy doesn't mean "better planning". You are the person who always has a fresh approach, creative ideas and can also bring gravitas to this role. You can lead senior stakeholders and get everyone to follow your ideas.
Responsibilities:
- Create and look after the execution of media strategy
- Generate tactical alternatives based on client needs and requests
- Take a key role in the pitching process
- Measure media performance of campaigns
- Respond to clients’ media-related issues
- Seek a consumer-centric view in all strategic thinking ideas
- Create media plan recommendations and alternatives
- Investigate creative and innovative approaches to strategically reach the target consumer
- Build strong relationships with creative agencies
- Analyse competitive activity in the marketplace
- Submit entries to award nominations
Desired skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a strategist, not just a senior planner
- Knowledge of the principles of advertising, marketing and media. Media or/ and creative experience needed
- Interest in the dynamics of media - how each media element performs alone, how they perform together and how they are constantly changing
- Analytical thinking
- Ability to formulate solutions to media problems
- Ability to write clearly and concisely
- Ability to effectively and comfortably communicate and interact with internal stakeholders, clients and vendors
- Gravitas & freshness
