Role Overview
- Communication Managers create media recommendations across all media for their clients
- This role requires skills in creativity, media planning, media marketplace and tools and market dynamics, working within these to ensure great results for clients
- Responsible for directly managing any Planners and Execs within the client team
- Managing the client relationship is also key, through regular presentations, WIPs, and financial process
Roles & responsibilities:
- Develops media implementation responses on all relevant client briefs
- Produces high level media strategy recommendations on selected briefs, work collaboratively on other strategy projects with team Director
- Sources and provides insights and learnings on post campaign analysis in conjunction with the buying team
- Assist in training of Executives / Planners in planning fundamentals and creative thinking
- Manage day to day tasks of Executives / Planners
- Contributes to competitive analysis as required with implications/recommendations, and presents competitive to client
- Diligently performs regular reconciliations on campaign plan media spends with buying team / 3rd party buying agency
- Understands how client/agency contract agreements may impact a campaign and can contribute to forecasting and other important financial tasks
- Communication across the group including key input to WIP meetings, writing contact reports from client meetings and generally ensuring the team are aware of the status and progress on the client portfolio
- Provide and lead written briefs to Trading, Digital and Social media teams at implementation kick-off stage
- Contribute to internal agency activities. This includes regular internal presentations and WIP sessions, & work with the Directors to develop awards submissions on campaigns
- Campaign owner and primary point of daily contact for client, in regular contact with the client / creative agency at the appropriate levels
- Committed to maintaining and developing client relationships
- Displays complete ownership of all campaigns from start to finish, including managing 3rd party buying agency relationships. This includes monitoring all client deliverables are being produced in a timely way and up to a high standard: final buy presentations, reporting, campaign post analysis etc.
Systems:
- Competent user across all core media planning systems: BCC, Roy Morgan, AQX Fusion, Mediawise, Etam
- Some use of AZTEC
- Sound knowledge of all Microsoft Office Systems; Word, Excel, Powerpoint

- Strong business communications skills; including ability to communicate effectively via e-mail, via phone and in person
- Great presentation skills, confident with clients, articulate
- Strong prioritisation and organisational skills, including managing 3rd parties
